The United Bid Committee unveiled the 32 finalist cities in Mexico, Canada and the United States that could host World Cup matches. And, from Canada, Toronto's BMO Field, Vancouver's BC Place, Montreal's Olympic Stadium and Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium have made the cut.

Congratulations go out this week to teenager Abraham Dukuly, who made his professional debut Sunday for FC Edmonton.

The roster was revealed Friday, and features six players who have yet to get a Canadian cap;  Louis Beland-Goyette, Caniggia Elva, Milovan Kapor, Kris Twardek, Kwame Awuah and Jordan Schweitzer.

Kessler stated over and over that there is no plan B — NASL “has no other option or plan to continue” if the injunction to keep its Div-2 status isn’t granted by the court.

What bio-banding aims to do is to put kids together by ability and size, not age. The thinking is that the system will offer more shots to kids born late in the year, or the late bloomers who take a year or two more to elevate their games.

“We have been going to the meetings,” he said. “I believe in the Canadian Premier League. I think it will be great for Canada.”

The 11 is reaching out to Canadian players, simply asking them for their thoughts about what a CanPL would mean to them.

So far this season, 26 Canadians have appeared in MLS matches; but, of those, only five have earned more than 1,000 minutes each. To put that in perspective, 1,000 minutes is just over 11 games of full-game action. More than half are under the 500-minute mark.
