The Vancouver Whitecaps made a couple of moves Monday that would be best classified under post-season housekeeping.

The team waived Cameroonian midfielder Alexandre Morfaw, who made just two appearances in MLS this past season, for a grand total of 135 minutes worth of first-team action.

Morfaw was signed in 2010, and played six times for the Whitecaps in their final Division-2 season.

The Whitecaps also announced that 21-year-old defender Omar Elmasri, who was on loan from Mexican side Tigres, has been returned to his club. The American defender had just three reserve-match appearances to show for his time in Vancouver.
