Eduardo Sebrango... was in the starting XI
The Montreal Impact tried out 32 different players as it embarked on its preseason schedule.

The Impact drew the Chivas reserve side 0-0 Sunday in Guadalajara, Mexico. The match was divided into three 30-minute periods. For the first two, Chivas used a combination of players who didn’t play or saw little action in the weekend league match against Xolos de Tijuana. For the third session, Chivas used players from the second division.

According to the Chivas website – translated from Spanish — “The Canadian team played with great intensity for 90 minutes, requiring players to do their best.” (CLICK HERE FOR THE CHIVAS REPORT)

The only Impact player to feature for more than one of the 30-minute periods was veteran Simon Gatti, who got a double-session look from coach Jesse Marsch. Gatti, an NASL veteran of the Impact, is currently with the club on a tryout basis.

The game wasn’t streamed by either the Impact or Chivas, so match reports and Twitter were the source of information for fans following the match.

Marsch started the game with veteran strikers Brian Ching (33 years old) and Eduardo Sebrango (who turns 39 in April) at the top of the formation. Sebrango, like Gatti, is on trial after he came out of an abbreviated retirement last season to help the Impact’s final NASL campaign.

On the goalkeeping side, Donovan Ricketts got the start, while Canadian veteran Greg Sutton got the second period. Evan Bush, who was simply the best keeper in NASL last season and earned himself an MLS deal, got to play in the third period.
