Navia, who has played throughout the Americas, including a stint with Chilean second-division side Nublense (where he teamed with FC Edmonton striker Yashir Pinto), scored five times in three starts and a sub appearance for the Atlanta Silverbacks. After an opening weekend which saw a lot of scoreless draws and 1-0 results, NASL has exploded into a scoring frenzy. The Silverbacks have scored eight times in their four games. And, of course, we can’t ignore that Navia makes up for more than 60 per cent of that scoring output. We’ll just have to look forward to May 12, when Pinto and Navia will face each other.
