FC Edmonton’s Lemire, Baart get one game each By Steven Sandor Posted on May 3, 2011 Comments Off on FC Edmonton’s Lemire, Baart get one game each 0 696 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Chris Lemire The NASL’s disciplinary committee decided not to lengthen the red-card suspensions of FC Edmonton keeper Rein Baart and forward Chris Lemire. Each will miss the automatic one game for the red cards they earned in a 5-0 loss Sunday to the Montreal Impact at Foote Field. The league reviewed the red-card incidents Tuesday and decided no further action was warranted. Baart and Lemire will miss Saturday’s game in Atlanta against the Silverbacks. With FCE trailing 3-0 Baart was sent off for having both sets of studs up when he collided with Montreal midfielder Luke Kreamelmayer. After the referee pointed to the spot, Lemire made no effort to hide his displeasure with the call and was sent off as well. Expect to see former Chivas USA keeper Lance Parker in goal for FCE on Saturday. FC Edmonton faces Toronto FC Wednesday at BMO Field in Nutrilite Canadian Championship action. TFC leads 3-0 after the first leg.
