Confirmed: Borjan move to Sivasspor is done By Charles Posted on June 23, 2011 Comments Off on Confirmed: Borjan move to Sivasspor is done 0 690 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Milan BorjanFK Rad confirmed Wednesday that Canadian national-team keeper Milan Borjan has signed a contract with Turkish side Sivasspor. The club announced on its website that Borjan was in Turkey and signed a deal for an undisclosed fee. Borjan started two of Canada’s three matches at the Gold Cup. Before the Gold Cup began, Sivasspor, which finished one spot out of the relegation zone in the Turkish league last season, announced that it had captured Borjan, who helped FK Rad finish a surprising fourth in the Serbian league last season. But, when Borjan was in the U.S. for the Gold Cup, he told The 11 that nothing was finalized with the Turkish side. “We’re still talking, we’ll see when I finish with the Gold Cup because right now I’m concentrating on the Gold Cup,” he said. “When that finishes, I’m going to go back to Serbia with FK Rad and then we’ll see what’s going to happen.” But, as expected, that deal is now final. Now, Borjan needs to help Sivasspor escape a relegation fight in 2011-12.
