The club is also expected to announce the hiring of a new general manager later this week, after the first leg of the Nutrilite Canadian Championship semifinal against Toronto FC Wednesday. The team has also set a local broadcast crew for webcasts and television. The announcement of who will be calling the games will come on Thursday. All games, as per NASL mandate, will be broadcast on the home team’s website. FC Edmonton has also secured a deal with a local broadcaster for some local television coverage. Details will be finalized later this week. The new GM, who has will replace Mel Kowalchuk, who left the club in early March to focus on his other commitments. Kowalchuk is also the head of the Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League. FC Edmonton owner Tom Fath said he wouldn’t put a number on how many tickets have been sold for Wednesday’s NCC game at Commonwealth.
