FC Edmonton invites fans to jersey unveiling, stadium announcement By Steven Sandor Posted on March 27, 2012 1 0 600 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter FC Edmonton will unveil the team’s new Adidas jerseys and announce its new venue for the 2012 season on Thursday afternoon — and fans have been invited to see it firsthand. The team is expected to announce Clarke Stadium as the venue for its 2012 home schedule. The hint? The press conference will take place at 2 p.m. the Green and Gold room at Commonwealth Stadium, which is right next door to the Clarke Stadium grounds. The venue currently seats just 800-1,200 (depending on whose numbers you believe) and would need to be expanded for the coming season. FCE staff is asking fans who want to attend the event to RSVP the club through its Facebook page (click here). The team will also debut its new look for the 2012 season. The team inked a three-year apparel deal with Adidas in the off-season, a deal which allowed the club the freedom to design its own look rather than have to use a previously existing pattern. The 11 will have full coverage of the event.
