Canadian defender Diaz Kambere, a former Vancouver Whitecap who also had a one-game stint with Toronto FC back in 2008, has joined FC Edmonton as a trialist.

Chilean forward Yashir Pinto, on loan from Colo-Colo, was forced to stay behind in Edmonton. Delays in his U.S. immigration paperwork mean that he can’t cross the border to legally work in America, yet.

At the same time as Augustin’s signing was made official, the club released Canadian defender Justin Farenik and American forward Shawn Chin.

FC Edmonton’s preseason schedule will see the NASL club make pit stops in both Winnipeg and Vancouver.
