The Vancouver Whitecaps won't be competing for this year's MLS Cup, but they finished their 2013 season in style with a 3-0 win over the Colorado Rapids at BC Place Sunday, thanks to Camilo.

Gabriel Torres, whose rocket of a shot was the margin of difference in Colorado’s 3-2 win over Vancouver on Saturday, got the most first-place votes from the members of the North American Soccer Reporters.

“That’s been the frustrating part of this game and, in some ways, our season. I think we’ve become much more expansive, much more entertaining, scored a lot more goals… but we’ve not tightened up well enough at the back.”

If you only looked at the season-long list of MLS Players of the Week, you’d assume that the Vancouver Whitecaps were comfortably ahead of the pack in the Western Conference.

“I always have this feeling, every game, that I'm going to make an impact,” Manneh told reporters following the game. “No matter how much time I play — if I start or come off the bench — I'm always looking to make an impact on the game.”

“If I was sitting in the stands I think I would be going home a very happy fan, but unfortunately for us their 'keeper makes two world-class saves,” captain Jay DeMerit told reporters following the match. “They should be making a statue of Donovan Ricketts in Portland right now, because he's definitely kept them in it, which is disappointing for us, because that was a game where we should have taken three points.”
