Report: Celtic done with DeRo By Steven Sandor Posted on January 13, 2011 Comments Off on Report: Celtic done with DeRo 0 751 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter STV has just reported that Celtic will not be asking Dwayne De Rosario to stay once his trial spell with the club is done on Friday. There had been rumours that De Rosario would be trying to secure a loan deal to keep him in Scotland until the beginning of the MLS season in mid-March. Toronto FC’s new boss, Aron Winter, had said that he expected De Rosario, TFC’s all-time leading scorer, to report to the club’s training camp when it opens later this month. De Rosario went to Scotland right after Christmas, prompting Toronto FC to make demands that it receive the proper paperwork to allow a player under contract to train with another club. After De Rosario’s training sessions were halted for two days, TFC announced that it was satisfied and that the Celtic stint could continue. De Rosario’s agent, David Baldwin, is one of the biggest in the U.K. — and represents four other current Celtic players, including CONCACAF expats Efrain Juarez and Emilio Izaguirre. He and De Rosario have decided not to issue any public statements until De Rosario’s training-trial with Celtic has come to an end.
