Sportsnet is back in the game with Toronto FC.

The network, which didn’t broadcast a single TFC match outside of the Voyageurs’ Cup last season, is on for six MLS games in 2012.

That’s the most notable nugget of info from the release of the Reds’ complete 2012 MLS season broadcast schedule. TSN announced its national broadcast schedule on Thursday.

Gol TV Canada, which is controlled by Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, loosens its grip on the broadcast schedule. It will only have 10 games this season. Last season, it carried all of the Reds’ matches that weren’t broadcast on TSN or TSN2.

With more TFC games on TSN this year and the addition of Sportsnet to the broadcast package, the number of games on upper-tier GolTV Canada has been cut by a little more than half over 2011.
