Canadian national team coach Stephen Hart is announcing its roster for the Gold Cup on Monday, but he has already given every indication that Blackburn Rovers’ winger Junior Hoilett, as per usual, won’t be on the list. Hart keeps asking, and Hoilett keeps saying no. His camp insists that he is focuses on his Premiership career, and that’s where the priorities are at the moment.

But the Brampton, Ont. native keeps teasing Canadian fans, with yet another goal. He scored Blackburn’s third in their EPL finale, a 3-2 win over Wolves. Hoilett struck just before the stroke of halftime to give Rovers, who avoided the drop, a 3-0 lead.

But, Wolves saved themselves from relegation by scoring twice in the second half, ensuring that Blackpool and Birmingham City would join West Ham United in the Championship next season.

Hoilett played 80 minutes for Rovers.

I’m getting really sick and tired of Canadians becoming traitors….
Owen Hargreaves and now Hoilett. This is pathetic. Nice to you and your families living in Canada. You were both gifted that pleasure and have turned your back on us.I hope and pray you get a nasty career-ending injury just as Owen. Karma is not on your side.
