Paul Stalteri, Canada’s all-time leader in national-team appearances, will have the chance to add another cap.

Stalteri was called up Sunday by national-team coach Stephen Hart, after Hart learned that both Marcel de Jong and Nik Ledgerwood, both named on the side’s original roster for Wednesday’s friendly with Greece, suffered injuries with their German clubs and would not be available.

Stalteri has struggled to get playing time with Borussia Mönchengladbach this season. He returned to the Bundlesliga in 2008-09 and helped the team avoid relegation, a season after he aided Fulham’s last-day push to avoid the drop in England. But, the veteran hasn’t surfaced in club football this season.
