CDS Vida: Peralta rejects Toronto FC contract offer, will stay in Honduras By Steven Sandor Posted on January 9, 2013 Comments Off on CDS Vida: Peralta rejects Toronto FC contract offer, will stay in Honduras 0 768 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter According to Honduran club CDS Vida, midfielder Arnold Peralta has rejected Toronto FC’s contract offer and won’t be heading off to play with the Reds, after all. The club’s official Twitter account stated that Peralta and TFC could not come to an agreement on a contract, and that the midfielder would remain in Honduras with CDS Vida. Peralta: To stay in Honduras Last week, the club had told Honduran media sources that the deal to send Peralta, a holding midfielder who starred for his national U-23 side at the 2012 Olympics, was all but done. But, according to CDS Vida, it looks as if TFC and Peralta could not come to terms on a deal. According to Honduran news outlet La Tribuna, CDS Vida president Carla Dip and TFC had agreed to a transfer deal, but the sticking point was the wages. Peralta didn’t feel TFC’s salary offer was good enough — and ended the negotiation. The paper indicated the deal would have netted CDS Vida six million Honduran lempira, which amounts to about CDN$300,000.
