The game was a tune-up for the upcoming U-20 Women’s World Cup.Two of Canada’s deadliest players from the CONCACAF qualifiers, Christabel Oduro and Nkem Ezurike, combined to equalize for the visiting side. Ezurike set up Oduro — and Canada created many chances afterwards, including a second-half bicycle-kick effort that Swiss player Mirnije Selimi cleared off the line.The Swiss opened the scoring in the 14th minute, a long kick from keeper Nadine Boni freed forward Cora Canetta, who finished her chance.The Women’s U-20 World Cup begins Aug. 19.
