When FC Edmonton paused its first-team operation at the end of the 2017 NASL season, Ben Fisk had options.

In this extended interview, Chencinski talks about his much-travelled career, why he and his wife decided Ireland would be the place to be, and how he would love one day to return home to play in the Canadian Premier League

“The first thing is that if you sign for a club, you want to do well for that club,” Keegan said. “I’m not looking too far ahead at this point, but I’d be lying if I said the reason I came over wasn’t to hopefully play in MLS one day. That’s kind of been a goal of mine… You want players to do well for your club, but you don’t want players who are satisfied with what they are doing. You want players with high ambitions.”

Folan made 26 appearances for the Rapids, scoring six times, in the 2011 season. He’s made a number of stops in English league football, which has included stints at Chesterfield, Wigan Athletic, Hull City and Bradford City.

Reluctant to rotate his personnel for the bulk of the season, Impact head coach Marco Schallibaum, prompted by injuries and suspensions to his regulars, fielded a squad that read like a reserve side, starting Evan Bush in goal, putting three youthful academy products on the back line and adding another couple to his bench.

"It was a bit of a nothing match, to be perfectly frank," said TFC head coach Paul Mariner.  "It was a bit of a stalemate and then suddenly they got the goal."
