Haber’s Stevenage side hosted Hume and his Doncaster Rovers mates Saturday in English League One action. And not only did Hume score, but Rovers took the match 2-1 thanks to a stoppage-time headed goal from Robert Jones.

“I think I have six months left on my contract and I have to really sit down and think about this,” said Hart. “Personally I did my best but with this result I don’t think the country’s fans will forgive me.”

Canadian international Iain Hume scored a goal, got screamed at by his manager at halftime, then scored again, as Preston North End defeated Exeter 2-1 Saturday.

“I’m glad we played the game,” said Stephen Hart who was less than happy with the game overall. “The first half, we did OK for about the opening 30 minutes of the game and then it was a matter of keeping proper possession of the ball and basically giving them the chances that they had.”

Matt Stinson has the chance to make his debut for the Canadian men’s national team. The Toronto FC youngster is one of just two changes national team coach Stephen Hart has made to his roster ahead of World Cup qualifiers Nov. 11 and 15 against St. Kitts and Nevis.
