“Not only missed chances,” said Hart of Tuesday’s 0-0 home draw with Honduras, “But we failed to make the keeper work."

"We've got to score goals," McKenna said. "You can't win soccer games if you don't score goals and that's our biggest problem... If you get at least three chances, you have to bury one."

“They’re a wounded animal but, hey, it’s one game,” said Hart. “They lost one-game, OK it’s a home game, but I think Honduras has too much experience to be desperate. They’re going to come in here thinking it’s only Canada and they can get a result here.”

Honduras qualified for South Africa 2010; but its national side will come to Toronto for Tuesday’s Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier in desperation mode.

“The game against the States is not the most important,” said the 29-year-old Brampton native and PSV Eindhoven midfielder in a conference call with reporters on Monday from the Canadian team’s training camp in Sunrise, Fla. “We want to be ready for the qualifying games.”

“There are some injury issues, unfortunately, and we will have a couple of players that cannot be part of the campaign,” said Hart. “Marcel de Jong is out and Jonathan Beaulieu-Bourgault is out and we’re waiting on some medical reports on two other players.”
