The Vancouver Whitecaps won't be competing for this year's MLS Cup, but they finished their 2013 season in style with a 3-0 win over the Colorado Rapids at BC Place Sunday, thanks to Camilo.

“It will be the most memorable game in my life,” Lee said in a release issued by the Whitecaps. “I’m a happy guy. I learned so many things throughout my career, much more than I had expected when I was young. It is a great time to finish with a great team and great people. I deeply appreciate our fans, my teammates, and all of the staff in the club. I’m sure Vancouver Whitecaps FC will remain in my mind as my team forever.”

“That’s been the frustrating part of this game and, in some ways, our season. I think we’ve become much more expansive, much more entertaining, scored a lot more goals… but we’ve not tightened up well enough at the back.”

“I always have this feeling, every game, that I'm going to make an impact,” Manneh told reporters following the game. “No matter how much time I play — if I start or come off the bench — I'm always looking to make an impact on the game.”

“If I was sitting in the stands I think I would be going home a very happy fan, but unfortunately for us their 'keeper makes two world-class saves,” captain Jay DeMerit told reporters following the match. “They should be making a statue of Donovan Ricketts in Portland right now, because he's definitely kept them in it, which is disappointing for us, because that was a game where we should have taken three points.”

“He whistled for a penalty and then he was influenced by the fourth official who said he didn't think it was,” Schallibaum said following the game. “For me it's a scandal because a decision was made and then all of a sudden it's not a penalty. It was something that changed the game even though we did not play a strong first half and we were unlucky on the penalty to Hassoun.”

The Rapids claimed their 2-0 victory through a rookie and a veteran, as Deshorn Brown and Edson Buddle scored efforts for the victorious home side.

The left fullback, scoring his fourth goal of the campaign, redirected home a Camilo corner kick. The goal marked Vancouver’s first direct corner kick conversion since captain Jay DeMerit’s headed goal against Chivas USA on March 17, 2012.

“Not to make excuses, but maybe Andy doesn't get injured if we aren't playing on grass laid on turf. They have to play in these conditions as well, but it was just one of those weird games where they scored early, but we came back and gained total control. Then Andy goes down with an injury and the game changes from there."

A 2-1 triumph over the Red Bulls was more than just three points for Vancouver; it was a statement to the fans back in British Columbia that this team wasn’t going to roll over.
