Toronto FC surprised many with its first pick in MLS SuperDraft earlier this month, including the man chosen – Luis Silva. Not because of the team that selected him, but the fact he was taken fourth overall.

Toronto FC didn’t release forward Peri Marosevic and defender Andy Iro; according the MLS club, the two players rejected its contract offers.

Both of the players Toronto FC originally acquired in exchange for later-to-become MVP Dwayne De Rosario are no longer Reds. Danleigh Borman was selected by the New England Revolution in phase one of the MLS Re-Entry Draft process. Borman was the only player TFC made available for the draft.

In a season where Toronto FC has frittered away over a dozen points due to late-game breakdowns and failures to defend set pieces, it's perhaps fitting that both demons combined at once in the game that officially eliminated the Reds from the postseason hunt. Thierry Henry's 88th-minute equalizer off of a corner kick left TFC with just one point in a 1-1 draw with the New York Red Bulls on Saturday at BMO Field.

In a nearly empty stadium in Panama, TFC and Tauro FC put on what was a 90-minute comedy of errors. Toronto FC got a 2-1 victory, but the real stunner was that this game didn’t end with a much higher scoreline.

Dwayne De Rosario once again exacted sweet, sweet revenge against another former club — this time a hat trick against his hometown team, Toronto FC.

"When you come back and make it 2-2, it's very good but honestly you have to win the game because we've lost two points,” TFC head coach Aron Winter said after the match.
