Crepeau’s exploits helped Ottawa to a win over Richmond and a draw with the Fury's old NASL rival, the Indy Eleven.

And Jordan Hamilton, who has played 731 minutes for Toronto FC this season, was down in USL this past weekend, but it was his goal that spurred TFCII to only its second win of the season, a 1-0 decision over Richmond.

As the Vancouver Whitecaps and Toronto FC prepare to do battle in the first leg of the Canadian Championship final, both teams took very different routes when it came to prepping for Wednesday’s game.

But, this year, well, the Ottawa Fury offered very little in terms of fight. After losing 1-0 to Toronto FC in the first leg last week, the Fury were beaten 3-0 by the Reds in Wednesday night’s second leg at BMO Field.

Toronto FC will be happy with an efficient 1-0 road win over the Ottawa Fury. The Montreal Impact, meanwhile, might not be so happy with its 1-0 home win over the Vancouver Whitecaps.

So, as consolation goals go, Alphonso Davies’s strike against D.C. United will go down as one of the greatest in MLS history.
